Cover Day

First and foremost, sorry for being absent so long. After finals all I wanted were well deserved vacations which I've been enjoying, but I'm back and better then ever! (or so I want to say). Also Happy New Year... hope this year is great for all of you! Of course I had to start the new year and month with cover day. Lets enjoy!

Cosmopolitan
Ashley Greene looks so sexy but elegant at the same time, that is he reason why I liked this cover so much. This one is the American edition.

W Magazine
This cover is amazing in my opinion, very dark and expressive. Emma looks daring and ready to take the world which I love. W did an amazing job on this one!

Elle
Natalie Portman graces the cover of Elle Canada and she looks great. This cover represents the new year perfectly, bright yellow dress, pinkish make, and fabulous hair. A score for Canada, no doubt.

Model Liu Wen looks breathtaking of the China edition. Love the bare eye-make up, it makes the bold red lips the main focus which I love!

I really don't know whether to hate it or love it, but I'm leaning for hating it. When I read that Coco Rocha was doing Italian Elle for February I was trilled, but then I saw this... Usually Italian issues don't disappoint me but this one definitely did.

Model Erin Wasson took Elle Spain and klet me tell you... It's hands down the best Elle of the month!! Love the black on white photo and the lettering is perefect too. I'm really pleased to look at a different type of cover and love it. We need to see more of this, right?

Vogue
Another Natalie Portman cover for the same month maybe it's because of her new role, can't wait to see Black Swan! She must be happier with this one though. Surprisingly  I love this American edition, when I got it in the mail I was extremely happy to see a grown, poised, elegant Natalie. She is wering a silk chiffon J. Mendel dress.

Keira Knightley covers the UK edition and let me tell you I like the make-up and that's pretty much all I like. I hate  the dress, the hair, and the huge necklace. Not a good one this month.

Padma Lakshmi looks fabulous on the Indian issue, this on is their annual shape issue. The reason I like this cover is essence of it, does it make sense? I'll explain, it shows her vulnerable and beautiful, which combined they make a great cover.

Vogue Australia nailed it with this cover! The moment I saw it, it became one of my favorite covers of all times, I truly believe that is going to be really hard to top this one off. Miranda Karr look lovely and she doesn't even need to show a full smile to look happy and show that amazing glow that we can perceive. Miranda is the first pregnant woman to grace the Australian cover.

Sasha Pivovarova stars on the Portuguese cover, the one on the left. While Karolina Kurkova takes the Spanish issue, love the earthy make-up on Karolina.

Two more must seen are the China and Nippon covers, we have Gisele Bundchen look oh so fabulous on the right and on the left we have Li Bing Bing looking more powerful than ever.

Marie Claire
Amy Adams looks amazing in that cutout dress, I'm thinking of dying my hair that shade since my shade isn't that far from it. Maybe it's because I love how the hair was styled for this cover. Crazy thoughts!

Laura Blokhina cover the Italian issue looking great! I like how all the text was left to the one side only.

Danni Minogue for the UK issue in a Victoria Beckham dress.

Harper's Bazaar
Beautiful Emily Blunt cover the UK issue, I always like Harper's Bazaar covers because of the approach they use for their cover. Always different... Great cover right?

Another different cover but beautiful. Karisma Kapur graces the Indian cover. I love when they do full body shots, it lets you take the whole thing in.

Another gorgeous cover. Lily Donaldson looks amazing in the US cover, the editors did take to the next level and I love it! By the way this is the subscribers cover, I normally show the sub cover from Harper's Bazaar because they're much better!

Hilary Rhoda for the Russia issue, not a sub cover but a great one too. Amazing photo!

Cover Day

Sorry for being away for so long(I took a long Thanksgiving break), but I'm back and happy to provide all the beautiful covers of this month!! So I'll get to it...

Glamour
Hands down, my favorite for this month! Fergi looks stunning in that red velvet Dsquared2 blazer. Very festive-like for the Holiday season. This cover is a 20th Anniversary Special Issue: Women of the Year in which Fergi is honored. Great cover, right?

Vogue

What can I say about the US cover? Angelina looks beautiful, but once again the pink and blue combination is lovely but too spring-like for this season. I like the fact the she isn't wearing all black and that pink shade on her lips is perfect for her.

The french issue is lovely, Tom Ford and Daphne Groeneveld look dashing in this cover. It takes my breath away for some reason. A really beautiful cover and festive too!

Harper's Bazaar
Katy Perry looks great on the US cover with natural make-up and a silver Reed Krakoff dress. Once again Harper's nailed another cover very appropriate for the season, but that was only the newsstands cover, the subscribers cover it's even better! When I saw it made my heart smile, I got it like 2 weeks ago and I had to shove all my magazines to the side but I got to read it over the weekend and it's great. The December issue is the Best Dressed Women of the Year issue and let me tell you ladies it's was candy for my eyes... You must get it!!!

The UK cover with Natalia Vodianova is also great, love the she has one side with armor and the other with a dress and it looks so intriguing. I want to know why the cover is like that, but it catches every ones eye.

Marie Claire

Rihanna looks quite innocent in the annual Glamour Issue of the UK cover. I think the contrast of the background blue and the pink feather piece is quite amazing but not for this season.

Elle
Anne Hathaway looks amazing and so glamorous in that Balmain dress on the UK cover. For some reason it makes me think of new years and it make me smile. Another great cover under her belt, way to go honey!

Jessica Alba looks so sweet in the US cover but for some reason I think that all the American editors are going crazy over spring because that's all we are seeing in our covers. Alba is wearing a beautiful summery Dior look.

Self and Shape

I normally don't write about these magazines, but a mean they're great! I love Heidi's because of the festivity in it and she looks amazing in the Blumarine dress. Kelly's cover I love it not only because she's wearing red but because she lost 50 pounds and what a way to celebrate it! Way to go Kelly!!

Cover Day

November covers are out and ready to be taken by all of us, here are a few!

Vogue
Nippon- Lily Donaldson

Australia- Abbey Lee

US- Anne Hathaway

For the first time in a few months I actually like the American cover. I think is very festive and I love the red heading. The Australian cover isn't so bad, I like the dazed look on Abbey Lee.

Elle
US- Kate Hudson

Yet another spring cover during the fall, I feel like I have been saying this for the past few months and I'm sure you guys are tire of it! But I still really like it, does that count?

Marie Claire
UK- Lea Michele

US- Victoria Beckham

Victoria is officially back! I can't wait to get this baby in the mail, I'm really excited for it. I like both covers a lot, the red heading on the UK cover makes it more season appropriate.

Sorry I only have a few this time, this have been hectic! And I have to get going, but I wanted to post Cover Day for you guys! Hope your having a great day...

Thanks for all the lovely comments and my followers!

Cover Day

As usual, here are the October covers!!

Harper's Bazaar

This is the UK cover and I have to say I kind of like it. It looks like a fall cover should look and the contrast of the colors is very appealing. Karen Elson looks great, even though I can't stop thinking that she looks a little dazed, right? But her amazing hair changes the whole thing.
I have no idea why, but lately I have been disappointed by the American covers. Drew Barrymore looks like she had mayor plastic surgery, I don't want to be mean because I love her but this cover did not make her justice. Besides that, I like the gold background paired the black dress she's wearing.

Vogue
And again, I understand we are all going crazy for spring 2010, but people we are barely starting fall and this issues do no justice. The first one is the US cover with Carey Mulligan and the other one is the UK issue with Cheryl Cole, and if it was the March cover I would be totally crazy about them, but they're October issues and it makes me mad.
The first one is the Portuguese cover with Pauline van de Cruysse, I fell in love with this cover. The animal print and red writing go perfect together. The second one is the Chinese edition with Kate Winslet which makes me really happy! I love the camel coat look...
Elle
Italian Elle always wins over my heart, they have the most beautiful cover you can find. In general all Italian covers are always great! This one is no exception, Chanel Iman looks gorgeous and not only that, she's wearing Gucci of course and she looks great doing so. Prompts for Iman and Elle Italia.

The Elle US team is celebrating its 25th anniversary and they created four covers with Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox, Lauren Conrand and Gabourey Sidibe. 25 ladies are profiled and it's a big issue. Hands down the best cover is Amanda's, I think I like it so much because she is wearing that gorgeous LV piece.

Marie Claire

The first one is the American cover with Katie Holmes sporting a J. Mendel dress. The cover itself isn't great but it's not really bad either. On the other hand I love the second cover, it is the South Africa issue and it's great! Mary-Kate Olsen looks amazing.

Glamour
For magazine's like Glamour I think it's totally fine to have celebrities on the cover and Diane Kruger looks amazing, even though she is a former model. This is the Sweden issue and the only one that does justice to the magazine's name.

W Magazine
Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling scored the cover thanks to their upcoming movie. I actually don't hate this cover, I think it looks really tender but in a good way.
